Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo
Shoots of Hope
WHEN YOU PLANT A TREE, YOU GIVE EVERYONE A PRESENT.
We are planting a forest to ensure solid roots for the eco-sustainable future
and development of a distant country, one that could become an emblem
of hope and renewal for everyone - Haiti.

A FLOURISHING FUTURE
Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo has adopted a forest in Haiti of 150 new fruit trees through Treedom,
an organisation that combats desertification, promotes reforestation and furthers green
developments that make a practical contribution to the future of the planet.
150
NEW TREES
Coffee, mango, cashew, orange and avocado plants will combat the decay and destruction of forests, which today cover only 2% of Haiti's surface area, providing recovery opportunities for local farmers and their families.

FOCUS ON THE ENVIRONMENT, INCLUDING ITS ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS,
HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF SANTA MARGHERITA GRUPPO VINICOLO'S HALLMARKS.
Conscious choices and concrete actions endure, leaving a tangible mark.
Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo long ago took a stand for sustainable agriculture,
the protection of Nature and environmental sustainability. Throughout its 80-year history,
the Group has always combined them with social sustainability by defending workers and the dignity of work.
A CONSCIOUS CHOICE
Today, Haiti is not one of our markets. Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo has no commercial interests in the area.
The new forest aims to bear witness to a potential model of environment-friendly economic
and social development. It is a concrete action in favour of the Haitian people,
reflecting the universal value of food and sustainability.
Because everything we do, locally or globally, can contribute to the overall improvement of human wellbeing.
And put a smile back on faces that had ceased to smile.
